The End of a Season

It is the end of summer,
and a season comes,
of learning to let go.
Of letting nature die,
slowly into the ground.
Leaves fall down,
and fungi clean nature,
of all its waste.
It is a time of harvest –
reaping what is good,
and storing it for the winter.
This season I must learn,
to accept the things,
I cannot control.
To allow myself,
to be ignorant of all,
that is still to come.
And understand,
that after the autumn,
and then the winter,
spring will come,
to bring a season of life,
once again.

Lemons

Take the lemons,
out of your eyes.
Let the tears fall,
surrender your heart,
and learn to smile,
through the pain,
through the grief,
and through the fear.
Eat the lemons,
make lemonade,
lemon pie,
or lemon meringue.
Learn to dance,
on a rainy day,
with your sunglasses,
on your face.
Sing songs,
from the heart,
breathing air,
into your lungs,
knowing that lemons,
are simply a beginning,
and not the end.
It is time,
to eat the lemons,
straight from your hands!

In a Sea of Love

Almonds in milk.

softness comes from the heart,

seeps into the skin,

and grows like a rose,

on a beautiful summer day.

Ice Cream in cones,

the cold melts in the sun,

when love is revealed,

and spreads like ivy,

all across the world.

In a sea of love,

no mountain can stand,

darkness fades in the light,

and the cactus flower blooms,

for one whole night.
