Dancing in the rain

The rain has created pools of water,
for me to jump in with my yellow boots.
My red umbrella I hold high above my head,
as I move my feet through the mud,
jumping around as if I am making pirouettes.
The thick rain drops slowly land on my face,
as a smile curves my lips and erupts into laughter.
My heart is a child again if only for a minute,
growing younger by every passing second.
For that is what silliness does to the soul,
it turns around the aging process,
cleaning the mind of all negative thoughts,
as it begins to feel alive again –
a clean slate where all the dirt is washed away.
Born again like a butterfly from a cocoon,
is the metamorphosis that comes from laughter.
The laughter that springs from deep within the earth,
like a geyser that erupts his steam in full force.
If only we could let go of the adult inside of us,
forcing us to behave a different way than we feel,
only because this is asked of us in a cripple society.
I spread my arms as if I fly like the birds in the sky,
as I feel the wind brushing my hair in waves,
allowing me to feel free from all that is holding me,
all that is imprisoning my emotional state of mind.
To be a child again is a gift to the soul,
where we learn to let go of the adult inside,
to discover that it is not too late to feel alive.

I Surrender

With my wings,
as white as snow,
I fly above the clouds,
and dance mindlessly.
One with the birds,
I stretch my wings,
and dance in the sun.

My feet move on the air,
as I close my eyes.
Joy and peace settle,
like a little bunny,
deep within his burrow.

My arms and wings spread,
on the light of your love.
I fall and I rise,
tumbling through the air.
My laughter fills the earth,
and my joy reaches heaven.

As I rest on the wind,
of your holy breath,
the music of my soul,
fills the blue spring-sky,
and our minds meet,
on the soft piano sounds.

I fly and I dance,
on the wind of your love,
and in your peace,
I surrender.

Soar

Soar,

My lips are painful and dry, as if I have been walking, through the desert for weeks. Now I am longing for streams of water, surrounding my body and soul. For the wind to lift me up, and give me wings like angels, so I can rise above myself – to see myself from a new perspective, if only these glasses were helping me! I spend my days in meditation, where a continuous flow of words, makes her way from my heart to yours. Gratitude is what I always learned, but now I am longing for more, because I feel that I am ready, to open my heart and fly, out of this desert into the promised land, I am ready to soar!

The Freedom to fly

The Freedom to fly

A little feather,
with a million silky hairs,
lays desolated on the ground.
Blown away by the wind,
it catches my heart,
and captures my soul.
A gift on a bed of grass,
glimmering in the sun,
it shines like the stars.
The stories it could tell me,
reach beyond the farthest galaxy,
where Heaven meets earth,
in the palm of God’s hand.
And as suddenly as it came,
the Spirit takes it away from me,
leaving me with an imprint,
of an unknown future,
where my feelings will find,
the freedom to fly.

Unchained

Unchained,
you are free.
Able to spread your wings,
to fly away on the wind.
Away from me –
from who I am,
and who I used to be.

You are able,
to choose for me,
or against me.
You are free
to be,
who you were always meant to be.

I set you free,
like a bird from a cage,
because I love you,
and for love,
to be real pure love,
it has to be free.

Love is not chained,
nor forced or caged.
In the end,
love is free.

So now,
I am unchained,
I am,
finally free.

Forever Young

Forever Young

As I jump on a trampoline,
for a moment I fly through the air.
Floating on the wind,
my body becomes weightless,
sending my heart into a whirlwind,
of pure joy and freedom.

My body matured into adulthood,
but my soul will always remain a child.
My heart may be able to break,
yet resilience forces it back together.
By thinking thoughts of pure joy,
my mind stays forever young.

Dancing is an expression of freedom,
where the mind solely focuses on the movement,
the heart is entranced by the music,
and the soul forgets her surroundings.
So, I spread my arms to make pirouettes.
On my toes I twirl around on the green grass,
as my skirt moves on the beat of the wind.

When my heart forgets to be joyful,
I look at the children that cross my path,
only to learn that true freedom,
is not forced by the world around me,
or from an emotion deep within,
but by the mere ability to forget everything,
so I can simply be who I am.

A Free Spirit

A Free Spirit

Like a firefly in a jar,
I feel caught in a web –
inescapable is a glass home.

Without holes in the lid,
oxygen escapes on the wind –
unbreathable is the toxic air.

The light slowly dims,
accompanied by my cries –
lost is the heart that has no hope.

Freedom comes from the one,
who knows how to love –
unbreakable is the string,
that connects one heart to the other.

You Lord understand my freedom,
You put the wind underneath my wings,
You understand the endless miles I fly,
to be one with the free spirit within.

IF

IF

If I could hide inside an orchid.
If I could sleep inside a rose.
If raindrops could embrace me.
If lighting could immerse my soul.

If I could smell a field flowers.
If I could see a million stars.
If I could walk across a rainbow.
If I could hold a beating heart.

If life would not be fleeting.
If I would have no need to breath.
If miracles would be all around me.
If my eyes could clearly see.

If strength would be my helper.
If love would be my food to eat.
If hope would keep my tears from falling.
If faith would bring me to my knees.

If the days would shine a little brighter.
If time would simply disappear.
If Heaven would be here today.
Maybe then I would be free.
