Morning Light

The ocean calmly beats,
the steady rocks on the shore,
where my naked feet wait,
to be kissed by the stream.
My heart dances in the waves,
as the sun rises at the horizon,
and the first birds fly overhead,
as a sign of a new day.
Seashells scattered across the beach,
shimmer in the sun light,
like little clumps of gold,
waiting to be treasured and admired.
My heart finds peace,
in the silence of this morning,
where the bustle of the city,
is a million miles away,
so, I stay a little longer.
The first people walk passed me,
searching for the same serenity,
I have been looking for,
in the early hours of the morning,
so, I smile at them,
as a hopeful encouragement,
to never stop searching.
I look into the sun,
and I am almost blinded by her light,
but I smile again,
at the great familiarity,
that trickles like rain into my heart
I cannot catch the light,
and store it in my heart,
I can only capture it,
and pass it on,
into the world,
as a sign of hope,
in the early morning.

The peace of this night

The wind rushes through the trees,
like an orchestra playing three nocturnes,
creating the perfect setting for fireflies,
to dance to this sweet melody of Chopin.
The stars find their places in the dark sky,
and I wait for Orion’s belt to appear,
so I can see him shoot his arrow.
Nothing is more peaceful than the night,
where silence is a warm blanket,
where you can meditate on the essence of life.
My rocking chair calmly swings back and forth,
as I play non-existent notes on my guitar,
giving my thoughts a way to escape my mind,
and slip into the oblivion of this peaceful night.
God speaks when the world is silent,
so I listen to the voice of Spirit who speaks,
on the whisper of the cool midnight wind.
If I would close one of my eyes and sleep,
I would miss all the wonderful things,
nature has in store for me,
so I try to stay awake and listen carefully.
All I can hear is the sweet sound of love,
penetrating my flesh, taking over my soul,
bringing me the peace, I have been looking for.
It is her desire to bring me joy in the morning,
so I thank the night for Chopin and his music,
for Orion’s belt and his arrows coloring the sky,
and the gift of love I found in this peaceful moment.
As the dawn arrives in her colorful glory,
I pray that the peace of this night will remain,
during every minute of this brand new day!

Still life

Still life

Silent waves draw me in,
until every inch of me,
is filled with your beauty.

Out of your emptiness,
something new is born,
in the wakening of a bird.

I love to hold you,
in every sense of my being,
I see everything,
in your nothingness.

Silent membranes,
create sound waves,
only the purest soul can hear.

There is nothing,
and yet,
there is everything.

In this still life,
a creation is born,
in the utmost silence.

Silence is a friend!

Silence is a friend

Silence is a friend,
waiting to embrace you,
and yet the world is watching it,
like a prey watches its enemy.
Seeing the trap closing in,
that will tear them up alive.

Faster and faster,
the world is spinning,
but she rather breaks down,
than having friendship with silence.

Silence is peace,
that the world lost.
Out of sight,
out of mind.
Now it waits,
in the shadows of the mind,
to come out into the light,
and give us,
the gift of peace.

High upon a mountain,
in the nature of my Creator,
we are sitting side by side.
Enjoying each other’s company,
like age-old friends.
Closing my eyes,
he shuts out the world,
so I can see reality,
and hear the unseen.
He stands by me,
in the communication,
with my God and Father.
His name is silence,
and silence is my friend!
