Vienna

Dancing a waltz
under a starlit sky
and the sparkling lights
remind me of the time
when we were in Vienna
walking ancient streets
listening to the silent sound
of Mozart and Beethoven
Butterflies fluttering
and spring flowers
opening their petals wide
The laughter still echoes
in my memory
and when I close my eyes
I can go back in time
and walk those streets
with you by my side!

My mother and I in Vienna Austria.

Mother Love

Wings spread,

open and wide,

wrap around me,

in an embrace.

Right there,

in your arms,

made of love,

pure and gentle,

safety finds me –

gives me a home.

Here I cry,

tears of joy,

of intens hope,

and undying grief.

A mother’s love,

difficult to catch,

in one simple phrase,

is only understood,

deep in the heart,

of all I can ever feel,

and every emotion,

I ever hope to touch,

in this lifetime!
